Pumpkin Pancakes

I now think that I'm obsessed with pinterest. I can't stop trying different treats/meals and snacks. Our latest creation? Pumpkin pancakes from scratch. Pumpkin, cinnamon and brown sugar... All the great flavors of fall! Mmmmm!

Marshmallows!

On pinterest I read that you can make homemade marshmallows! What?! I just knew I had to try out this recipe. Spencer and I gathered our supplies and tested it out. At first I was a little bit skeptical but as you can see they turned out wonderful. The best part is that they taste even better than Jet Puffed. Never going back to those again.

Ten Favorite Things About Spencer

1- All the work that he puts into our family. It isn't fun to go to work all day and then come home and do homework. Spencer is a trooper and never ever complains. He does such a wonderful job to provide a great future for our family. I am quite thankful for someone who works so hard. 

2- He never stops trying. Life is hard and stressful but it never gets to Spencer. He is always trying to be better and better.  He never gives up.

3- His smile. Spencer is one handsome man, but when he smiles, it is enough to knock me off my feet.

4- He treats me like a princess. I can't count how many times he tells me he loves me or how beautiful I am in a day.

5- He is so smart! He teaches me new things every day. Where does he learn these things? I guess he was just born with it.

6- The way he looks at me. He really loves me. He gets a little smile when he stares at me and that just makes my heart skip a beat!

7- When he comes home from work, he picks me up and holds me for a long time. My favorite place to be is right in his arms. I'm so lucky to have this guy!


8- Sometimes i'm clumsy and I spill, break and drop everything. Spencer is so patient with me. I don't know how he does it, but he does. He doesn't ever get mad and just learns to laugh along with me. 


9- He always makes me feel better. Whether it was a long day at work or I don't feel good or I just need a hug, Spencer is really good at kissing me and hugging me. He holds me until i'm laughing and smiling again. I can't stay sad for long when i'm around Spencer.


10- He is amazing. I am so glad that I get to be with Spencer forever. He is my best friend and my favorite person in the whole wide world. 

Batter Up!

This last Friday, Spencer and I went to a Bees baseball game. Spencer has been wanting to go for a very long time. He was so excited. He put on his baseball hat and shirt and off we went. He taught me a lot about the ins and outs of baseball. He even got a hot dog. I thought the game got boring rather fast.  The best part? Getting Coldstone after the game. What a great date night!

We have gotten so many gift cards from our wedding! People are so nice and generous. Thanks everybody! Anyway, ever since we got married, we have slowly been using them and buying things that we need. We are finally at a point that I think we have what we need for now.
I have been wanting a nice camera to play with and document our married life for our kids. I have been eyeing the same Canon camera for a while. I did lots of research and came to the conclusion that that is the one I want. My sweetie pie let me buy a camera with the rest of our target gift cards. We have fallen in love with it and take it every where we go. It takes awesome pics and we are learning how to use all the buttons and features. What a great investment!

An Exciting Day!

Ever since we got our Kia Soul, Spencer has been checking the mailbox for his license plates to come. He was so worried that the numbers would be totally lame. Everyday he checked the mailbox, nothing came. Today after I got off of work, I called Spencer. He told me that he was already home from work and that he was just going to walk out to the mailbox. Spencer paused on the phone and then finally told me the good news. His plates had come!! I wouldn't let him open up the envelope until I got home. This smile says it all.
